Abstrak
Penelitian deskriptif survei ini memetakan kualifikasi, potensi, minat meneliti, minat karya ilmiah dan produktivitas karya ilmiah pustakawan UGM, yang bermanfaat untuk perencanaan dan penyesuaian pembinaan karir. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bidang informasi yang paling diminati yaitu: Pekerjaan layanan informasi, 17%; Manajemen Perpustakaan 13%; serta Pemustaka, Literasi dan Minat Baca 12%. Penelitian yang dihasilkan sejumlah 86; karya ilmiah 212; serta 177 artikel. Rerata skor angket kualifikasi 1,94 termasuk rendah, sebagian besar responden belum memiliki kualifikasi kemampuan profesional. Rerata skor angket minat meneliti 2,38 termasuk rendah, sebagian besar responden tidak memiliki hambatan metodologi penelitian, tetapi terdapat hambatan serius yaitu penelitian kuantitatif, model dan prinsip analisisnya; serta analisis data dan inferensi. Rerata skor angket karya ilmiah 2,86, termasuk tinggi, sebagian besar responden belum pernah membuat berbagai bentuk karya ilmiah terutama menerjemahkan / menyadur buku.

Abstract
This descriptive survey examines qualifications, potentials, research and academic writing interests, and research productivity of librarians at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), which is beneficial to plan and adjust their career development. Analysis indicates that the most preferred information areas are as follows: Information service (17%), library management (13%), Users. Literacy and Reading Interest (12%). There are 86 research produced, 212 academic writings, and 177 articles.The mean score for qualification is 1.94, considered low, meaning that most respondents have not had professional qualifications.The mean score for research interests is 2.38, considered low, meaning that most respondents are familiar with research methodology, yet confused with quantitative research, particularly regarding its models, analytical principles, data analysis, and inferential method. The mean score for academic writing skills is 2.86, considered high, which indicates that most respondents have never made any academic writings, notably translating/adapting books.
